As we prepare to embark on the unforgettable journey of the Global Founder’s Retreat Egypt 2024, we understand that you might have questions and concerns. In this blog post, we’ve compiled a comprehensive list of frequently asked questions and important information to ensure your retreat experience is seamless, enjoyable, and enriching.
1. Do I need to be an Élanoura Collective Member to join the retreat?
Yes, joining the Élanoura Collective is the first step. It’s free to join and ensures that every retreat is filled with like-minded individuals who share the same values and goals. Once you’re approved, you’ll receive an invitation to sign up for the retreat.
2. Is the retreat exclusively for women founders?
Absolutely! The retreat is open to women founders, solopreneurs, side hustlers, and even those aspiring to become founders. This diversity adds to the richness of our community.
3. Which airport should I fly in and out of?
You should book flights in and out of Cairo International Airport (CAI). We recommend arriving by 11am on the first day to settle in and take part in the welcome activities.
4. What should my departure flight time be on the last day?
On the final day of the retreat, you’re free to depart at your convenience after breakfast. The airport is approximately 10 minutes away from our last hotel, so you can plan your departure accordingly.
5. Are airport transfers included?
Yes, airport transfers on both arrival and departure days (March 7th and 14th) are included in the program and cost. For those arriving earlier or departing later, private transfers can be arranged at an additional cost.
6. How much luggage can I bring?
The luggage allowance for internal flights is 23kg (approximately 50 pounds) along with a carry-on bag weighing up to 7kg (approximately 15 pounds).
7. Do I need a visa for Egypt?
Most visitors, including those from the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, and the EU, require a visa to enter Egypt. Single-entry visas cost USD 25 and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Passports should be valid for at least six months after your arrival date.
8. What are the Covid-19 requirements for visiting Egypt?
As of August 2024, passengers traveling to Egypt are not required to take a COVID-19 test to fly to the country. Egypt’s COVID-19 entry restrictions were lifted on June 17, 2022. However, it’s recommended to have proof of COVID-19 vaccination and travel insurance for the duration of your trip.
9. Will the itinerary change?
While it’s rare, the itinerary, activities, and hotels are subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we’ll inform you as soon as possible and make every effort to ensure a smooth experience.
10. What’s not included in the retreat package?
International airfare in and out of Cairo, alcoholic beverages, and a couple of dinners we’ll have in town for exploration are not included in the retreat package.
